Besides having the “right” name for the company (Walter is Cheryl’s husband), Walter brings his business acumen, leadership experiences, and consulting skills from 25+ years in the workforce. He has a BS from Rhodes College and a MBA from Kennesaw State University.
Walter worked 12 years for Fortune 500 company BellSouth Telecommunications beginning in 1988, working in several different management positions ranging from sales manager, Quality manager, manager of an 8-person Small Business Services staff, and finally a staffing and HR Manager. At BellSouth, Walter had the tremendous opportunity to invest 12 days working with management gurus W. Edwards Deming, Stephen Covey, and Tom Peters on improving organizational effectiveness, quality, and process improvement at BellSouth.
Walter left the Telecommunications Industry in 2000 to work as the Southeast Sales Representative for Weldon, Williams & Lick (WW&L) printing company. WW&L is the leading company in the security/ custom printing industry. Walter had the opportunity to interface and directly work with top level management in many high profile accounts, including the Masters, Kentucky Derby, CMA Awards, the SEC and ACC Championships, all Major Sports Teams in Atlanta, and most in Tennessee. He also worked with athletic departments in the following universities: Georgia Tech, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Louisville, Memphis, and Vanderbilt. If you had a ticket to an entertainment or athletic event in the Southeast since 2000, there is a high likelihood that Walter was involved with that job. He grew the territory 50% in 8 years, left WW&L in 2008, after growing the territory from the 5th largest in 2000, to the largest in the company for the past 4 years.
When not working, Walter enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, watching and attending college and pro football games, and attending rock and country music concerts.
